Edun is a for-profit business that was founded in 2005 on the premise of trade versus aid as a means of building sustainable communities. An equity investment by LVMH would allow Edun to expand its reach by having the substantial marketing and production power of the world's largest luxury-goods firm at its disposal. The investment would be a bit of a shift for LVMH but definitely shows that luxury's growing move toward the sustainable is more than just a flash in the pan. http://www.luxist.com/2009/05/14/lvmh-invests-in-bonos-clothing-line/

As part of Le French May Arts Festival, the French luxury lifestyle brand Louis Vuitton will be holding an exhibition entitled A Passion for Creation at Hong Kong Museum of Art. This exhibition will bring together exciting story to life, analysing the unique creative process through installations, where works of art and archive documents are brought together. Louis Vuitton has always forged a strong relationship between traditional know how and present day design.
Carefully selected works from the Fondation Louis Vuitton pour la Creation collates a small number of significant large-scale works (paintings, photographs, video installations) by European, American and Chinese artists. These reflect an urban and energetic culture, leading to fictional landscapes, somewhere between dream and adventure. Exhibiting artists include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Paul Chan, Cao-Fei, Yang Fudong, Gilbert & Georde, Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster, Andreas Gursky, Pierre Huyghe, Jeff Koons, Bertrand Lavier, Christian Marclay and Richard Prince as well as other newly discovered international artists.

Today we get a more detailed look at the upcoming footwear from the adidas Originals By Originals David Beckham footwear collection, developed in collaboration with James Bond from Undefeated. The footwear line includes the ZX 8000 in three colorways and the Marathon Mid hiking boot. Some of the colors are certainly attracting attention, but not in a negative way, especially because if a more prominent color was used, no other colors appear, keeping the look overall clean.
The adidas Originals by Originals David Beckham x James Bond Collection will soon be available at Solebox.
